Émilie-Lune Sauvé
Senior Campaign Manager
Montreal SPCA
In her role as Senior Campaign Manager for Animal Advocacy and Government Affairs at the Montreal SPCA, Émilie-Lune Sauvé works to create a better world for all species through campaigning, governmental relations, and education. Her main interests include animals used in research, farmed animals, ethical wildlife management, and issues related to underestimated species. Her commitment to animal protection aligns with her strong interest in social justice and environmental issues, specifically their convergence in unified mobilizations. She is a founding member of the Sustainable Food Transition Coalition. Previously, as Senior Campaign Manager at Humane Society International Canada, she oversaw Canadian campaigns for companion animals, including dog meat trade bans oversees and spay/neuter clinics in First Nations communities. She launched the first Canadian Pets for Life program in Toronto, providing low-cost veterinary care for disadvantaged communities, created HSI Canada’s COVID-19 Crisis Animal Response program, participated in an undercover investigation on puppy mills and coordinated the importation of international rescued animals. Since 2009, she also worked directly with animals to rehabilitate them after being seized from puppy mills, established municipal wildlife relocation programs, and advocated for ethical animal services.
