Ana Isabel Melo

Ana Isabel Melo graduated from the Peter A. Allard School of Law in 2024. She is currently an articling student at the Parents' Legal Centre in Prince George, a Legal Aid BC clinic where she assists parents who are navigating complex child protection legal matters with the Ministry of Children and Family Services.


She has always been passionate about animal welfare. In 2023, she enrolled in the only Animal Law course offered at Allard, taught by Professor Victoria Shroff and in 2022, she was part of the animal advocacy research internship offered by Defend Them All and Lyndsey Zehel. Since graduating, she spent eight months in 2025 volunteering at the Vancouver bunny cafe, a rescue, where she assisted with bunny care.
