Dr. Malgosia Mosielski is a Canadian veterinarian and holds a Master of Public Health degree. She is currently completing a qualifying year in philosophy at the University of Ottawa. Her work examines how structural injustice operates across animal use systems and how veterinary medicine helps shape and sustain those systems. She is particularly interested in how professional norms, regulatory frameworks, and economic incentives influence material conditions for animals and contribute to moral injury within the veterinary profession. She has worked in companion animal practice, laboratory animal medicine, and in federal humane animal transport policy, providing firsthand experience with the institutional systems that govern animal use. Her interests bridge political philosophy, public health, and applied ethics, including the policy implications of emerging protein technologies such as cultivated meat and precision fermentation.
