Federica Faiella is an Italian attorney specializing in criminal law and the legal protection of animals. She is the Founder and President of Fondazione Cave Canem, a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting animals who are victims of crime, severe abuse, and illegal trafficking.


Her work focuses on the intersection between animal protection, organized crime, and youth deviance, with particular attention to the role of judicial custody of animals seized in criminal investigations. She collaborates with law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, and judicial authorities in cases involving animal cruelty, trafficking, and clandestine animal fighting networks.


Federica also works with the Italian Ministry of Justice – Department for Juvenile and Community Justice on initiatives addressing youth deviance and violence prevention. She regularly delivers training and lectures on animal law and legal protection of animals for universities, law enforcement agencies, and professional institutions.
