Justin Marceau

Justin Marceau is a professor at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he directs the Animal Law Program and the Animal Activist Legal Defense Project. His scholarship focuses on animal law, constitutional law, criminal law, and social-movement advocacy. He is the author or co-author of Beyond Cages, Truth and Transparency, and Carceral Logics. He recently argue the appeal for activist and open-rescuer, Wayne Hsuing, which resulted in 3 of Hsuing’s 4 convictions being overturned.
