Lynn Kavanagh
Farming Campaign Manager
World Animal Protection
Lynn holds an undergraduate degree in Philosophy which is where she was first introduced to the field of animal ethics. After graduation, Lynn worked for about 10 years in addictions and mental health policy and research, while becoming more involved in the animal protection movement as a personal interest and passion. In 2008, Lynn returned to school to purse a master’s degree in animal behaviour and welfare. Soon afterwards, she joined World Animal Protection as Campaign Manager working on both the organization’s oceans (marine debris) and farming campaigns. She has been with World Animal Protection for over 13 years and is currently the Farming Campaign Manager, overseeing the farming and food systems campaign. In this role, Lynn works with a broad array of stakeholders, including government, corporates and other NGOs, to advocate for stronger farmed animal welfare policies, and a more equitable, humane and sustainable food system.
