Sayara Thurston

Sayara Thurston is the Senior Policy Advisor for Farmed Animals at the Montreal SPCA. She has worked as a campaign and policy expert in the animal and environmental protection space for more than fifteen years, including at Humane World for Animals (formerly Humane Society International), We Animals, and Oceana Canada. Her writing has appeared in the Toronto Star, the Hill Times, Huffington Post, the Montreal Gazette, the Unbound Project and other publications. Originally from Australia, Sayara holds a Master of Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Sydney.
